US President Donald Trump opened his speech at the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh by hailing the kingdom as a ‘’great place’’ and describing Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as his friend. Recalling his last visit to Riyadh as US President in 2017, when his host was King Salman, Mr Trump described Prince Mohammed’s father as ''a great man’’. He hailed the kingdom's "transformation" over the years.

The US President described US-Saudi Arabia relations as ''a bedrock of security and prosperity'' during his speech, saying America's partnership with the kingdom will remain strong as they signed multiple strategic economic deals. Including arms deal of 100 billion dollars.
